Gule ex Britt-Marie ex Ekfors ex Gunhild H ex Östanfors ex SIGBRITT was delivered on March 12, 1940 by NV Scheepswerf Foxhol (H J J Muller and J G Broërken), Foxhol to Rederi AB Staffan, Gävle, Sweden. I have heard, that it originally was ordered by a British owner, but due to the war it was sold to this daughter company of the Stockholms Rederi AB Svea, but I have never found out, if this is true or not. The ship was eventually sold to Danish breakers and arrived on May 17, 2002 to Frederikshavn from Hälle, Idefjorden in tow of tug 'Hilding'.
SIGBORG was built in 1939 by A Vuyk & Zonen, Capelle a/d IJssel as REZE for NV Scheepvaart Mij Reze (H and L M van Maaren), (Schoolstraat 405b, Kruiningen), Hansweert and in October 1939 sold to Rederi AB Staffan, Gävle.
