Hallo Ben,

This is SAMONA, port of Reg Stockevik, on the island of Tjörn. I´m sure Torsten H can give you all details.

The ship is shown here as NORDKAP II or TYLÖ. Built 1884 at Motala as steamship THEOD MANNHEIMER. In 1947 sold and rebuilt to motorship with a 240 hp B&W Alpha diesel, 221 grt, 250 tdw. Fishing nr: LL 605. Later sold and re-named SUNNANVIND. Probably still existing?

Thanks Torsten, now I understand why Bo wrote under the photo: Tylö - Fisketangen. What means Fisketangen? So it is the Tylö.

Hello Ben.

Fisketången is, if I'm not competly wrong, a place near by Smögen/Kungshamn in Bohuslän Sweden.
A lot of coasters used to have Fisketången as Home port.

Not a lot in common, with my photo from 1884.

Regards

Anders

Anders, thanks. Here another Swedish coaster :?: from mine collection. I only know the name Niklas, built 1912. I suggest built in Holland for inland-trade, in Dutch called "een binnenschip".

About the Niklas I found a notice that she was sold in 1967 to Otto Magnusson, Visby and renamed Mireya. Further no trace.
